Josh Harvey, dvm
Dr. Josh Harvey is the owner and founding veterinarian of Outlaw Equine. Dr. Harvey, originally from Florida, received his degree from Auburn University and has been practicing since 2006. Dr. Harvey established Outlaw Equine Hospital and Rehabilitation center in 2007 and has continuously developed his practice into what it is today. In 2016 he started the #OETour and went nationwide with OE vet services traveling all around the country. Dr. Harvey is licensed in Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. He is continuing to expand his skills to innovate the veterinary world.
Nate Lea, DVM Associate
Dr. Lea grew up in Okeechobee, FL, raising cattle and team roping. While studying veterinary medicine at the University of Florida Dr. Lea worked on a feed yard until he graduated from the University of Florida wit his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Lea then completed a one year internship at Outlaw Equine in Texas, primarily focusing on lameness as well as internal medicine, rehabilitation, reproduction, surgery, and much more. He is now managing OE Florida full time. He primarily works out of Okeechobee, but also travels to other parts of Florida and shows in surrounding states. Jaclyn Lott-Myers, DVM Associate
Dr. Lott-Myers grew up in Sulphur, LA, on her dad, Butch Lott's cutting horse facility. While studying at Stephen F. Austin University, she was an active member of the rodeo team, competing in breakaway roping. She graduated from Louisiana State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Lott-Myers completed a one year internship at Outlaw Equine in Texas, primarily focusing on lameness as well as internal medicine, rehabilitation, reproduction, surgery, and much more. She is now managing OE Louisiana full time. She primarily works out of Scott and Sulphur currently, but also travels and goes on tours throughout other parts of Louisiana and surrounding states. mary thompson, dvm associate
Dr. Mary Thompson was raised in northern Illinois, where her passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age. Inspired by watching her mother work in a veterinary clinic, she discovered a love for caring for animals and supporting the people who cherish them. From a young age, she knew veterinary medicine was the career she was meant to pursue.
Dr. Thompson earned her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University before graduating from the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026.
Her professional interests include equine ophthalmology, reproduction, and internal medicine. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, high-quality care and enjoys the challenge of combining advanced medicine with practical solutions to help horses achieve optimal health and performance.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Thompson enjoys riding her horses and running. She is committed to building lasting relationships with her clients and is honored to partner with owners in providing exceptional care for their horses.

Reilly Splawn, Rehab Manager
Reilly graduated from West Texas A&M in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management. While at West Texas A&M, she rode for the Equestrian Team. Reilly started managing the rehab department at the beginning of January 2018. Since then she has dedicated her time to ensure each horse reaches their maximum level of fitness as well as her expertise when it comes to rehabilitation for a sustained injury.
Christian Olivieri, Foreman/ BARNS & GROUNDS DIRECTOR
Nick Stuckman
Nick Stuckman, from Bucyrus, Ohio joined the OE team in August 2015. He graduated from Stautzenberger College, Toledo, Ohio, in 2006. Nick is an instructor at the Academy of Equine Dentistry in Idaho. Nick has been a guest lecturer on equine dentistry at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine as well as Tiffin University.
kirsten bowman, dvm associate
Originally from Missouri, Dr. Bowman grew up on a cattle farm, where her early experiences with animals helped shape her interest in veterinary medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a year-long equine internship, where she gained extensive hands-on experience in equine medicine, surgery, emergency care, and sports medicine.
Dr. Bowman has a strong passion for equine medicine and enjoys caring for horses across all disciplines, from high-level performance athletes to lifelong companions. She values building relationships with both her patients and their owners and believes in taking an individualized, practical approach to each horse’s care, with an emphasis on keeping them healthy, comfortable, and performing at their best.
In addition to traditional veterinary medicine, Dr. Bowman is trained in veterinary acupuncture and enjoys incorporating it into her practice as an additional tool for pain management, rehabilitation, performance, and overall wellness.
Sarah Novotny, icu manager
Sarah was raised in Streetsboro, Ohio. After high school graduation, she enrolled in the Marine Corps where she deployed three times. After completing her last deployment she began volunteering her time with a Veterans program. This new venture led to managing a boarding facility, which sparked her love for Veterinary medicine. In 2014 she enrolled at Brown Mackie College in Akron, OH, where she received her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Post graduation she focused on specializing in Internal Medicine, Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care. Sarah joined the OE team in July of 2020, where she dedicates her time working closely with the doctors to create their medical plans to ensure every patient has the utmost and best patient care OE can provide.
ANAYA SOLIZ- REHAB MANAGER
Born and raised in the heart of South Texas, Anaya attended Southwest Texas Junior College, where she competed as a member of the SWTJC Rodeo Team. Her lifelong passion for horses and interest in equine recovery led her to become an Equine Massage Therapist and Certified MagnaWave Practitioner.
With limited opportunities to pursue equine rehabilitation in her hometown area, Anaya relocated to continue building her career in a setting dedicated to advanced equine care and performance.
Anaya has been with Outlaw Equine for four years and has spent the past two years working alongside Reilly Splawn in rehabilitation management. Her experience has allowed her to work closely with a diverse range of equine athletes, from post-injury and post-surgical cases to horses requiring conditioning and performance-focused rehabilitation.
As Rehabilitation Manager, Anaya takes pride in providing attentive, individualized care and being a part of each horse’s progression throughout the rehabilitation process. She looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge, advance her skills, and contribute to the standard of care at Outlaw Equine while helping each horse reach its fullest potential.
BAILEY ANDREWS, MARKETING MANAGER
Bailey Andrews was raised in Arizona. She has been a valued member of Outlaw Equine since 2021, quickly rising to her role as Front Office and Marketing Manager. With lifelong experience in the industry, she brings both passion and expertise to her work, overseeing daily operations and leading OE’s marketing efforts. Bailey’s professionalism, dedication, and understanding of the horse world make her an essential part of the OE team.
Henrique " Ricky" Merlini
Mr. Merlini grew up in Paraná state, Brazil around horses and cattle at his grandparent’s farms. During vet school, he completed several externships in different areas of equine medicine. Mr. Merlini was also the President of Equine Group of studies - Paraná state (GEEQPR 2012-2015). Mr. Merlini graduated from Northern University of Parana State in 2016 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He then spent over a year at Outlaw Equine in Texas primarily focusing on lameness as well as internal medicine, rehabilitation, reproduction, surgery, and much more. Mr. Merlini is now back in Brazil full time working as a lameness diagnostician.
